Made Together is a large-scale participatory ceramic workshop and installation bringing people from across Barnet together to create one collective sculpture over the weekend.
Led by Barnet-based Maxability — a charity that creates inclusive opportunities through ceramics, particularly for disabled adults — participants will choose from broken ceramics, discarded pottery and overlooked fragments, then use clay to transform them into something new. The project celebrates repair, renewal and possibility, connecting with Light + Flight through themes of hope, freedom, imagination and belonging. As more people take part, hundreds of individual creations will come together to form one shared artwork.
On Sunday, ceramicist and The Great Pottery Throw Down judge Keith Brymer Jones will join the project, bringing his own pottery to be broken and transformed as part of the installation.
