Calling Barnet businesses, makers and creatives: trade with us at Light + Flight Festival! 

This November, Light + Flight culminates in a free, multi-day arts and heritage festival near Finchley Central, with thousands of visitors expected across a weekend of live music, performance, art, exhibitions, workshops, film and animation. 

We’re looking for brilliant businesses and makers to be part of it on 14 & 15 November 2026.

Applications close on 31 August. 

Sale or Return Concept

We want to make Light + Flight accessible for small independent businesses and makers. It's the perfect opportunity to get your products in front of the crowds and raise your profile.

Are you a cultural organisation in the borough with a best seller in your local shop? A creative living or working in Barnet with something brilliant to sell? Whether you knit, paint, make jewellery, or craft something entirely unique, we want to hear from you. It can be a single item or a limited edition run. Think of it as a cross between an alternative festive market and a gallery gift shop all indoors and under one roof.

You provide your goods, priced up and ready to go. We stock the Light + Flight shop with interesting products from across the borough and beyond — one point of sale, no fuss. Anything that doesn't sell is returned to you, along with any profits made.

If you would like to trade at the Light + Flight Festival, please get in touch on events@hemingwaydesign.co.uk along with answers to the below:

• Details about your business - website, socials, send photos of your set up and menus.

• Stock - A rough idea on retail price lists and quantities

• Your story - why you make what you make, your personal journey, purpose

Once we have your email, we will review your request as per our curatorial process and If we think your business is right for the event, we’ll send you a booking form. Places are limited.

More about Light + Flight

Light + Flight is a borough-wide cultural programme running in Barnet throughout 2026, bringing together artists, communities, and local stories as part of the Mayor's London Borough of Culture initiative.

The programme culminates in a free, multi-day arts and heritage festival on 14th & 15 November 2026, held near Finchley Central inside a large repurposed office building set within landscaped gardens featuring pine trees and a lake.

The weekend will feature a packed programme of live music, performance, art installations and exhibitions, creative workshops, film and animation, with an ambition to attract thousands of visitors over the course of the weekend.

Light + Flight is presented by Art in Barnet. It is supported by a Cultural Impact Award, part of the Mayor’s London Borough of Culture programme. It is made possible with additional support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.
