Calling Barnet food and beverage vendors: trade with us at Light + Flight Festival! 

This November, Light + Flight culminates in a free, multi-day arts and heritage festival near Finchley Central, with thousands of visitors expected across a weekend of live music, performance, art, exhibitions, workshops, film and animation. 

We’re looking for brilliant businesses and makers to be part of it on 14 & 15 November 2026.

Applications close on 31 August. 

Food & Drink Vendors

We’re on the look out for food and drink businesses to pop up at the festival and feed the crowds across the weekend.

We’d particularly like to hear from businesses founded or trading in Barnet, and specifically businesses in and around Finchley Central.

Please note: There is limited infrastructure on site. While the venue is indoors, your setup needs to be fairly self-sufficient and similar to what's required for an outdoor event, but without a food truck or vehicle. You'll also need a minimum 4 star food standard rating and public liability insurance up to a value of 5 million.

What's in it for You?

Super Easy: We provide the venue and the audience and some basics such as tables, chairs and limited access to power. You just need to turn up, set up, and you're off.

Promo: Barnet Council, with the support of HemingwayDesign will run dedicated marketing and PR campaigns for the event, delivering huge reach and press coverage.

Join Our Network: Connect with like-minded brands and small business owners. Discover future stockists or new collaborators plus an opportunity to promote your business to new audiences.

Trading Options

Street Food: Grab-and-go hot or cold dishes, snacks, and bites. Think bold flavours, quick service, and food that's easy to eat whether visitors sit or keep on the move.

Food Producers: Got something delicious to sell? Whether it's samosas, sauces, baked goods, or artisan products, this is a great opportunity to get your goods in front of a brand new audience.

Bar: Drinks to keep the crowds refreshed across the weekend. Whether that's craft beers, wines, soft drinks, or something a little more creative — we'd love to hear from you.

Hot Drinks: It's November, so whether it's spiced chai, builders brew, velvety hot chocolate, or an artisan flat white. Whatever warms the crowd, get in touch!

If you would like to trade at the Light + Flight Festival, please get in touch on events@hemingwaydesign.co.uk along with answers to the below:

• Details about your business - website, socials, send photos of your set up and menus

• Your business story – reason for existing, personal journey, purpose

• Product packaging - HemingwayDesign and Barnet Council are working together to ensure we have planet friendly materials across this event (no single use plastic for food, drinks)

• Details about your set up - equipment you’ll bring or need

Once we have your email, we will review your request as per our curatorial process and If we think your business is right for the event, we’ll send you a booking form. Places are limited.

More about Light + Flight

Light + Flight is a borough-wide cultural programme running in Barnet throughout 2026, bringing together artists, communities, and local stories as part of the Mayor's London Borough of Culture initiative.

The programme culminates in a free, multi-day arts and heritage festival on 14th & 15 November 2026, held near Finchley Central inside a large repurposed office building set within landscaped gardens featuring pine trees and a lake.

The weekend will feature a packed programme of live music, performance, art installations and exhibitions, creative workshops, film and animation, with an ambition to attract thousands of visitors over the course of the weekend.

Light + Flight is presented by Art in Barnet. It is supported by a Cultural Impact Award, part of the Mayor’s London Borough of Culture programme. It is made possible with additional support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England.
